Today's 1st Tech Tip is LiveBinders www.livebinders.com LiveBinders - Organize your resources in an online digital ... www.livebinders.com LiveBinders is your digital binder on the web, create an online binder for content curation LiveBinders are classroom binders that exist online for everyone to virtually access. The site allows students to quickly find materials without having to ask teachers and without needing extra printouts because let’s face it, worksheets get lost in messy backpacks, lockers, and desks every day. LiveBinders also allows teachers to organize materials based on curriculum, category, and classroom timelines. Once online, students can engage with live materials for maximum engagement. After a topic is covered and the binder is complete, teachers can publish materials online and share them with students and teachers from different school systems around the world. The passages within this site are grade appropriate and contain open ended questions that can be integrated into Google Classroom as well as with the Kami extension. Well today’s second tip are resources for safe search engines for students. This a great resource for Kindergarten - 2nd grade. The first safe search engine is called http://www.kidrex.org/. KidRex is a child-safe search engine powered by Google Custom Search. The site utilizes Google SafeSearch and maintains its own database of inappropriate websites and keywords. The site has a colorful hand-drawn crayon and colored marker design. This is a great resource for 3rd - 5th grade. The second safe search engine is called https://www.kiddle.co/. Kiddle is a visual search engine for kids powered by Google, offering safe kids web, image, and video search. Results are vetted by editors. DON’T FORGET!!!!
